Full on superstructure rebuild and outboard conversion has begun

demo complete wit a lot more rot than expected. reframe is almost complete with Douglas fur, next step will be rewire, spray foam and re sheet the exterior with 1/8' aluminum instead of wood. parting out the Volvo DP legs and motors.

when purchacing I figured there would be some rot as I brought a moisture meter and some some slight staining but very little.
If you ever want to buy an Alwest make sure to spend the time and tell the owner that you will be taking off the inside aluminum window trims that sandwiches the frame, this will reveal a lot without causing any damage.
