David,
Note the Alcan370 brochure pages on the Sault Ste Marie listing.
I haven't seen these before.
Maybe you could get better resolution versions from the seller ?

Terry, Rob
I have been in contact with the Sault Ste Marie boat owner and have requested higher resolution scans of the documents posted. He was most accomodating and provided additional info. I have posted the boat in the Registry section and will collect more info over time.
Cheers
David

Hi Rob & Everyone else,
Could someone correct me if I'm wrong but in this ad it states aluminum hull and superstructure? I thought that, and have been told, only Alcan's had aluminum superstructures and Alwest's came with fiberglass over wood. I stand corrected on this point if wrong.
Thanks
Patrick

From the picture, I am quite sure that this is an Alwest. The key to identifying an Alwest hull is the unique gunwale extrusion with no openings along its length and the very pointed bow. The Alwest superstucture is wood framed and covered with plywood. Originally, the exterior surface was thin aluminum (less than 1/16") glued to the plywood. The upper cabin roof is sometimes fibreglass and sometimes not.
