Alcan 370 with Volvo 130's, no generator.
If being lifted out with a travel lift, where do you place the slings.

Tough question to answer as the Centre of Gravity (C of G) will have changed and there is only limited data to calculate from. I think it is safe to say that the CofG has moved forward from any previous position as the engines are going to be lighter than before. To make matters worse, there aren't any "sling here" marks anywhere on the boat, so it is always a guessing game. That being said, the ideal location for slings probably doesn't change very much. The aft sling needs to be behind the CofG and the forward sling needs to be ahead of the CofG. Most operators seem to position the aft sling is near the firewall which is about 6 feet forward of the transom, and the forward sling several feet back from the transition to the bow curve (there is probably a nautical term for this point), which is around 25 feet forward of the transom. Given that the ideal CofG is around 12 feet forward of the transom, and yours may be at 13 or 14 feet, I suspect the traditonal sling positions will still work just fine.

Your mileage may vary and all sorts of other legal disclaimers apply. Please don't drop your boat.
