Power: Original (rebuilt) Engines and Generator
Catherine Ann is a 1972 Alwest 370 that we have owned since 1993. She was definitely a “handyman special” when purchased, but year by year, we have brought her back to better-than-new condition. Interior and exterior have been completely refurbished over the years. (see renovation details in the technical section of this website) Power is still the original Volvo 170 6 cylinder engines and 270 outdrives (all rebuilt). The generator is the original 6.5kw Onan which has also been completely rebuilt and modified to run an auxiliary 80 amp alternator to quickly recharge the house battery bank. Some of the more unique things about this boat are her teak decks, stainless railings, mahogany swimgrid and arched wooden dinghy davits. Catherine Ann hails from Trident Yacht Club on the St. Lawrence River near Gananoque.
